Even though this is not a long book, I deliberately took my fourth dimension when reading information technology. I am in the midst of a year-long grade based on this volume, and I didn't want to get *too* far ahead.

Well, the good news is that I read information technology at a decent pace that allowed me to contain where I was in the lessons with where I was in the book. The bad news is that I even so finished information technology way ahead of time! Luckily, the lessons come once a day to my e-mail service, then I'm not stuck referring back to the volume all of the time.

Even though this is not a long book, I deliberately took my time when reading it. I am in the midst of a year-long course based on this book, and I didn't want to get *as well* far ahead.

This is an interesting approach to clearing clutter, starting with understanding that clutter is partially mental -- that is to say, fear-based. That sense of panic you might feel when you are working on clearing needs to be overcome by basically fooling your amygdala out of worrying about lack. This book contains many useful lessons to help you become there, and too to help yous recognize when your amygdala kicks in and then that you know it's time to quit for the day rather than pushing to the point of panic.

I found the book extraordinarily useful and am employing its techniques on an ongoing ground.

Helped in many means

I read this book straight through instead of taking the year every bit intended. I think I needed the "answers" also desperately to have it slowly. The plan is to get through it again or to do ane of the online courses in 2019 which stars tomorrow.

Advice to future readers: If y'all work through a week or two of this volume and think, "Well, this isn't really my way, but I'll go along going to meet if information technology changes," just stop now. There are lots of meditations, visualizations, breathing, emotions, sensations, intuition. Lots of beingness gentle and reflective without much action. The book/system clearly works for some people, just information technology's not my cup of tea.

I tried a couple of weeks on the ane-section-per-mean solar day plan. Then I tried i-week'due south-sections-per-day.

reading skimming several weeks' entries in a single sitting just to endeavour to reach the end, I admitted that it was time to stop.

Took me 2 years to do a one year book, merely I finally made it. My plan for 2018 is to start over and do it all again. Really helpful.

I worked my mode through AYTC the volume after completing Stephanie's online form available through DailyOM. Her approach is nil short of life-changing. This is non a Marie Kondo method of cleaning and organizing. Clutter is anything that gets in the way of experiencing our true nature and best life. "Go slow to go fast." Stephanie embraces compassion and self-intendance daily. What'south non to love? I experience better well-nigh myself and treat myself with more kindness, and my firm looks and feels more spacious.

The online course was neat considering there's a very active Facebook community for support. The book for me went deeper than the online class and I program to restart the lessons, as the clearing journey never actually ends.

I've started this volume several times. I've worked my way through information technology with the thoughtfulness and wistful approach it suggests. I seriously capeesh this book and Vogt's approach to getting your life in social club. The reason that I didn't requite the volume five stars is because I have yet to read all the way to the cease of the book -- largely because I become bogged down in the emotional explorations the boo inspires, and also because I seem eternally doomed to live in anarchy. Perhaps I shouldn't accept a star away from Vogt for what is clearly my own personal failing, but I'chiliad existence peevish. I programme to dive into this book over again. The aspiration that the book inspires speaks well for it. That someone every bit hapless and hopeless as I am in maintaining any sort of society in my life determines to return to this work once more and again speaks well of what Vogt offers. I don't wait to triumph, frankly. Simply I do expect to go along trying. That'south thank you to Vogt'south approach and to my belief in the myth of progress. ...more

This book covers many aspects of clearing: physical, mental and emotional. I bought the book because I am investing in clearing many parts of my life. The book is designed to be read a day at a time for a year. I acknowledge that I commonly read a week at a time and took breaks here and at that place. Nonetheless, I finished it and found many valuable nuggets of worthy suggestions. Now I am passing it on to a friend for the next yr.

I loved this book. It takes you through 365 days of bite-size, baby footstep clearing suggestions which, if fifty-fifty partially attempted, start clearing detritus inside and without. I enjoyed the authorial voice and, now the year is done, I miss her daily pep talk.
